The Dream As I Analyze It

30-September-2007 / The dream:

I was lingering on a street I do not know of, but nevertheless, looked quite familiar. It was daytime and in my mind, I was thinking I am going to find my way to where I was going. I don't know where I was going, nor where I've been, nor what I was doing on that street. I made a couple of turns and finally found a store that looked like one that sells car accessories or something like that.

I saw my daughter and was glad to see her there, thinking that I could ride with her on her way home. She was waiting for a friend, who happened to work at the store, and I think the friend was to drive her home(???). So, I waited with her...

A few minutes later, I took a peek inside the store to see that the friend we were waiting for was asleep and was, in no way, ready to leave. After all, it was not time to close the store, I suppose.

So, I told my daughter to get up and go -- found her car (it looked like my car LOL!) with the trunk opened. I got into the driver's seat and drove to what it looked like a main road. We drove past a church, and I decided to stop at the church to say a little prayer before proceeding to where we were going.

We entered through the side of the church -- not the front entrance, like we all usually do -- but I did not go inside the church itself. There was a mass going on; the part where the people are saying the Lord's Prayer (Our Father, Who art in Heaven...). I prayed while I watched what was going on inside the church. It was a typical scene.

After that short interlude in the church, we drove out of the church's premises -- sort of like a huge parking lot. Since the mass was not over yet, we easily found our way out through a way that can only turn right. It was more like a corner but it curved only to the right.

As I looked ahead, I saw that we were walking (this time we were not in the car anymore) on water. The water was flowing like a stream; it looked like a flood, but it was not ominous-looking. The road ahead was just water -- endlessly flowing. On the left side, I noticed, was a bay (aha! water) that was separated by bricks or rocks (???) and on the right side was a walk-street -- where, I guess, people should walk, instead of treading the water. It seemed like it was the 'normal' thing to do. It didn't feel unusual to see the flooded road and the solid, cemented sidewalk. And so, my daughter and I took the sidewalk and headed on...

Interestingly enough, when I woke up this morning, the dream was still very vivid in my mind. Usually, and for most of us I must say, the dreams come and go. We don't remember anything about the dream -- all we know is whether we had a good dream, a bad dream, or just a dream - period.

When I have dreams that I remember when I wake up, I tend to analyze and interpret the dreams according to books and articles I've read before and associate them with what is going on in my life. And so I did... Church

Daughter
To see your daughter in your dream, represents your waking relationship with your daughter and the qualities that she projects. If you do not have a daughter, then it symbolizes the feminine aspect within yourself.
Water
