The Price We Have to Pay

... isn't easy.

... it isn't cheap either. And i don't mean that by the dollars. I mean that by the price we have to pay for everything that we do (or not do). The price of an overwhelming surge of emotions that oftentimes leave us broke. Numb. Hopeless.

However, though life may be a hardball, it is not something that we can just dump into a hole of nothingness. We have to continue to struggle to keep that ray of light shining -- no matter how distant it stands from where we are. We have to keep reaching, and reaching out we will. Because we not only live for ourselves -- we live for the lives we created. Our children. Our loved ones. Our friends. Even enemies.

By struggling we sometimes lose direction. For some, it may be an easy path back on the road. For others, it may be the end. But all through that journey, we spend -- we gather and we blow all kinds of sentiments. We have to. There is no choice. That is the only way to live. Else we die.

So we move on. After each journey, we learn. And we use that knowledge to make sure we don't walk that path again -- or perhaps we may want to tread that road again. For this we have a choice. Live it or leave it. Simple as that. But know that there will always be a price for everything.
